Privacy Policy — آيات الهی (Ayat Elahi)

Effective 14 September 2026 · iOS and Android · published by Riksi

The short version

The app collects nothing. It has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. It does not send anything anywhere, because it cannot: the entire book ships inside the app, and the Android build does not request internet access at all.

What is stored, and where

Everything the app remembers stays on your device, in the app's own private storage. None of it leaves the phone, and all of it is deleted when you uninstall the app.

There is no account, so none of this is associated with an identity, and there is no copy of it anywhere but your own device.

Notifications

If you turn on the morning or evening reminder, the app schedules those notifications locally on your device. The passage text is prepared ahead of time and stored on the device. No push service is involved and no server knows your reminder times. You can turn reminders off at any time in Settings, or revoke the notification permission in your system settings.

The home-screen widget

The widget displays text the app has already written to your device's own storage. It reads nothing else and sends nothing.

Sharing a passage

The share button hands the text to your operating system's share sheet. You choose the recipient and the app. Nothing passes through us and nothing is recorded.

Contacting us

The contact form in Settings opens a message in your own email app, addressed to [email protected]. Nothing is sent until you press send there.

If you do write to us, we receive what you chose to send — typically your name, your email address, and your message. We use it only to reply to you. We do not sell it, share it, or add you to any mailing list, and we keep it no longer than needed to deal with your message.

Links out of the app

The Sources screen links to reference.bahai.org, the published source of the text. Once you follow a link you are on someone else's website, covered by their privacy policy, not this one.

Permissions the app requests

• Notifications — only if you turn a reminder on. The app works fully without it.
• Run at startup — so your reminders survive a restart. Without it the reminder schedule would silently stop after a reboot.
• Vibrate and keep awake — used by the system when a reminder is delivered.
• View network connections — declared by a bundled software library, not used by this app. The app does not request internet access, so it cannot make network connections.

Children

The app collects no data from anyone, children included.

Your rights

We hold no data about you, so there is nothing to export or delete — except an email you may have sent us. To have that deleted, write to [email protected].

Changes

If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted here with a new effective date.
